Meet Michelle Bueltel
Current Rochester Community Schools' Board President and Candidate for Re-Election
Michelle is seeking another 2 year term in order to continue serving the students, families and staff in our district especially during this time of transition. She wants to be part of a team that ensures civility, stability and a student-centered focus as we launch our new strategic plan and bring on a new superintendent. Michelle currently serves as President of the Rochester Community Schools’ Board of Education. She's been involved in the district for more than two decades, serving as a school board member for the last 7+ years. She is also actively involved in the community – serving on the Rochester Area Youth Assistance Board for the last 7 years, volunteering at Neighborhood House for the past 14 years and serving on the Mission Committee at her church for the last 8 years. (For more details about Michelle's involvement in the district and community, click here.
The past two years, Michelle has been elected by her peers to be President of the Board. Prior to serving on the Board, Michelle spent 14 years as an officer on various local and council PTAs as well as on district committees such as the Bond Proposal and Millage Renewal Committees.
Her children received an outstanding education within our district and her goal is to ensure that all students have an opportunity to reach their potential in a supportive environment so they can become leaders and productive citizens in our global society.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys playing golf, traveling, participating in her book club, visiting National Parks, volunteering in the community and spending time with family.
